American's Feel Good about Counseling

According to an article on barna.com, the majority of American’s have or are open to seeing a counselor should they have the need. Four out of ten have seen a counselor at some point and would recommend going to others. Younger generations are more likely to go more than any previous generations as stigma related to seeing a counselor continues to become less of a concern. What is important is that they can afford it and that the counselor has the expertise to help.

Nearly 50% of those who have gone to counseling rate it as a very good experience and another 29% rating it as good. Only 6% report a negative experience.
